Boccia is a game for six people, seated, each with two balls to be aimed at the jack. The playing balls are small leathery balls able to fit nicely in the palm of the hand. It's a bit like lawn bowling but for indoors.
The aims of this group are to aquire the skills needed to play Boccia and improve eye hand coordination and motor control. Learning and understanding the rules of the game, taking turns and team work. Eventually we hope to play against and meet with other teams. We work to increase our physical fitness and coordination through gentle exercise. We also develop our social skills and interaction with others. As ever, we can't help but inject some serious fun and banter in to our games.
